Der Shuttlezug Airport Train verkehrt zwischen den einzelnen Terminals, den Parkplätzen und dem Flughafenhotel. Fast alle Hotels haben kostenlose Zubringerbusse. Preiswerte Busse zu beiden Stadtzentren fahren alle 30-60 Min. rund um die Uhr. Taxis stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung.
George Bush International Intercontinental Airport Houston (IAH) (Internet: www.houstonairportsystem.org) liegt 32 km nördlich der Stadt (Fahrzeit 30 Min.). Kostenlose Zubringerbusse der Hotels fahren rund um die Uhr alle 30 Min. von den meisten Hotels ab. Busse zur Stadt (Fahrzeit 45 Min.) und in die Umgebung sind preiswert, Taxis sind jedoch recht teuer.
El Paso International Airport (ELP) (Internet: www.elpasointernationalairport.com) liegt 13 km östlich des Stadtzentrums. Der Flughafen ist das Tor zu West-Texas sowie Nord- und Süd-New Mexico. Regelmäßige Busverbindungen mit Sun Metro zum Flughafen.
San Antonio International (SAT) (Internet: www.sanantonio.gov/airport) liegt etwa 14 km außerhalb der Stadt. Flugverbindungen bestehen nach Lateinamerika und zu den größeren Städten innerhalb der Vereinigten Staaten. Expreßbusse und teurere Zubringerbusse verkehren zum Stadtzentrum. Taxis stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Einige Hotels haben eigene Zubringerbusse.
Inlandflughäfen: Dallas Love Field (DAL) (Internet: www.iflyswa.com/cities/dal.html) liegt etwa 9,5 km außerhalb von Dallas. BAHN: Es gibt nur wenige Amtrak-Verbindungen. Dallas/Fort Worth liegt auf der Strecke Los Angeles – San Antonio – Chicago, Houston auf der Stecke Los Angeles – New Orleans. Es gibt nur Fernzüge und keine Nahverkehrsverbindungen. Durchschnittliche Fahrzeiten s. Kalifornien.

Houston: Busse der Metropolitan Transport Authority (METRO) (Internet: www.ridemetro.org) fahren zu recht günstigen Preisen, Taxis sind teuer. Mietwagen sind ideal für Ausflüge, sollten aber rechtzeitig im voraus bestellt werden.
